Perhaps it's because I'm using PSP but I'm finding this tutorial hard to "translate" =/ And I'd love to figure this out. This tutorial looks wonderful and I'm sure once I figure it out, it'll be quite simple.

What steps exactly are you having trouble with? Perhaps I could help you figure it out ^^

It's pretty much the wording that has me confused, not a certain step =/ Like "Now, past your image onto the texture." for example.
