This is so intriguing, I haven't quite wrapped my brain around it yet although I am loving every word!

Harold Boon, eh? The cheeky blighter. Although I forgave him a bit for trying to take care of Vince and for sending him home... But where exactly was Lance Dior while Harold was snogging Vince in the men's loos?

Probably hooking up with Adam from "the Chokes".

It's an extremely complicated tale that should have taken me a year to write but I crammed it into a few months. I'm just hoping it sort of makes sense by the end.

I really love the flashbacks to the Milky Joe interlude on the island, because as I said in my last review, Howard is so much more himself when he's... not himself. *g* That is, without his usual hang-ups and inhibitions in the way, not to mention the damage of the past, Howard is so much more honest about his feelings toward Vince, even if he's thinking of him as Precious--because deep down, he knows that (as the picture itself says) Vince is precious to him. So under that guise, he can tell Vince that he's beautiful, be tender and romantic and gentle with him, admit that he wants to make Vince feel special and cherished. And his thoughts and observations of Vince/Precious are both astute and revealing of how much he loves and admires Vince, like his reflection on how Vince often claims to be dim, but his ability to adapt, thrive, and flourish in any situation suggests the opposite. When he marvels at Vince's creativity and ability to make anything beautiful, given enough patience and time, it made me think of his thoughts about ( ... )
