Hikaru got onto the bus in a cheerful mood. She was laden with a giant shopping bag that dwarfed her and had some fabric and sewing supplies peek out. She started to smile when she saw Rei before her expression became worried instead.

"Sanjo-san?" she said softly from the aisle to his side. "Are you ok?" Concern filled the tiny dancer's voice.

Hikaru maneuvered the over-sized bag so that it was against the side of the seat and out of the way, then she dropped gracefully into the seat next to Rei. She studied his face for a moment, her own expression openly concerned. She was the type to show exactly what she was thinking on her face, so there was no question that she wanted to ask why he was upset. It was also obvious when she made the decision not to ask because her expression cleared and was replaced by a serene calm that simply accepted what he told her at face value. If he wanted to talk, then he would talk. If not, she wasn't going to try pushing him by asking a question ( ... )

Rei thought about it and knew he probably shouldn't but he wouldn't have a dinner otherwise. "Sure why the hell not. I will help you carry your bags. But only because you are friends with Shige's sister. She doesn't have the many."
