Mizuyamimai set, ok. Shaon chakai time! It was strange to think about the sannensei leaving so soon, although I have not spent much time with any of them. We see them every day, talk to them in passing...you kind of just assume that everyone will always be there.

Did not get enough sleep last night.  This seems to be a pattern.  I kept waking up at night with my stomach hurting because I was so hungry (I only ate dinner yesterday...we missed lunch and I didn't have breakfast).  In the morning we had jitsugi in the dorm early, and I had no food in my room, so I went without breakfast again.  I didn't realize ( Read more... )

I woke up at 7 AM to deliver the Mizuyamimai by 7:30, just in case they would have any time to eat it in the morning.  Wishful thinking, but I hoped it would work.  Today was really cold and pouring rain.  When we were all dressed and walking to Chado Kaikan we joked that the weather was sad about our sempai leaving us ( Read more... )

Vice-Principal's meeting in the morning, although we just had one about two weeks prior.  Oku-sama brought us O-hina-sama sweets from Toraya and we all got tea, it was nice :)  We spent a lot of time talking about Mamahen's chaji, and upcoming graduation events.  Afterwards we had a lecture with Hamana-sensei where we finished March ( Read more... )

Today was my first full chaji experience and it was one of the most amazing things I have ever done in my life. Everyone had been preparing for this event for so long and it was almost magical how well everything went.
