Copters aren't really hovering over here (I think the first of the MedEvacs are starting to come into the U of M Hospitals, though), Yudof is a bit too far away from the immediate action. The sirens are pretty constant, and it looks like the police are now using a picnic table at the park as some kind of Strategic Command Center for rescue efforts. There's got to be emergency vehicles from at least eight different cities here. My last count was 23 (no, 24 now) squad cars/trucks.
If you didn't know, Kari & Holly are fine, if inconvenienced. I'd call Molly and ask but T-Mobile isn't working. Hopefully she is OK.
Yipes. O.O Holly hadn't really conveyed that part to me (she was pretty focused on moving).
Any word from Mollywogg yet? She hasn't responded to my facebook message or when I texted her a few minutes ago. I'm in the "mildly concerned" area right now, but if I don't hear anything by sometime tomorrow it'll go into "full blown worry."
No. I didn't know anything was up until I started hearing a LOT of sirens (maybe around 6:20), and then they arrived under my window. I looked outside and noticed they were putting a search & rescue boat into the river. I figured someone had fallen in (it's happened before), but then another boat showed up, and another, and there were still more sirens coming. Then I checked the news and figured it out from there.
