I just finished a delightful call with the DC Dept of Tax and Revenue. Actually...it was a delightful call. Despite all of the bureacractic hoops and irregularities that I have thus far experienced in the District, everyone that I have spoken with that works for the District has been very nice to me and as helpful as they can ( Read more... )

My uncle does my taxes and I don't know what I will do when he stops doing my taxes.

WOW!!!

That is amazing. A polite tax collecter who gave you your refund even thought it was your mistake. That is amazing. CAn I have some of your good karma.

I know just how you feel. I did a stupid thing with my taxes as well, although mine was much more obvious. I forgot to give my tax person a W-2....owch, had to do an adendum(sp?) and I still haven't seen all that extra money I am suppose to get back. I think I'm going to call them again today and check on the progress.
