-- Post a list of 10 books/movies/TV shows that you've had a fannish love of at some time in your life.
-- Have your friends guess your favorite character from each one.
-- You can cross out the show/movie/book and put the character when someone guesses.
-- Following ObanDirk’s lead, I also branched out to include "groups" instead of just specific titles ( Read more... )

Hamlet is a very close second. It was a hard choice at first, but I had to go with someone else as my favorite.

#1 is right. I am a huge fan of so many of the characters, but Sam is my guy. I really wish Rob Lowe had stayed longer with the show, but his tenure was perfect.

For #10: I considered Knox's character when I was going through the list of characters, online, but he wasn't my initial pick, who I ended up going with. I watched this show with my dad, and the whole world seemed to stop when it was on. It was probably the first drama show that I ever got into (if you don't consider MASH to be a drama) and totally changed my view on television program possibilities. I didn't get to watch many of the 3rd season episodes (my social life started taking over), but I think the guy I picked was on for the full run of the show.

Doesn't Michael Palin play the Larch? There are so many characters to keep up with, with that group.

I thought it was literally just a tree standing there.
I was trying to be glib, and apparently failed miserably!

I have no talent with such things, but if I did, I would totally waste my evenings creating a flash reconstruction of Shakespeare plays using GI Joe characters. Maybe some other cartoons, too. That would rock the cha-nation!

3. Obviously The Doctor has to be your favorite character from Doctor Who. I mean, he's the Doctor. Specifically I would guess that the Fourth Doctor is your favorite. He has the craziness and intelligence that you love so much. He's also quite mystery. Doctor Who forever Gabe!

4. I'm going to go with Eric Idle being your favorite Python. I might be wrong.

7. Dude, it's gotta be Snake Eyes.

9. I don't know much about lost, but I'm going to say Locke.

8. I'm going to guess Iago for Shakespeare. He is a great villian.

Good character but not the one. It is sometimes hard to tell between heroes and villians with Shakespeare, but my pick would probably be considered a hero, albeit a disturbed one.

6. Malcolm Cole
8. Macbeth

Malcolm would be my #2, by coincidence #1 and #2 have more in common off screen than on screen.

MacBeth rocks, but my pick is a bit less known than the usual suspects for Shakespeare. Not obscure, by any means, but probably only regained popularity since the release of a 1999 film.

He's the one! I am so fascinated by that character. Sometimes I just sit on the steps and think about the complexities of that play.
