I was choking when I saw a tv ad for my own uni during the past olympic (not sure if that was a national ad or just a regional one, but). I feel uneasy about universities selling themselves as if they were some kind of commodity (and the students becoming the consumer). Education is earned, not paid for, isn't it? Well, maybe I'm being overly naive, but I hope that I'm in grad school not because I was rich enough but I was smart enough:(

my complaint was in the clips from the guide to how they are to be taught. It just seems like pushing it a bit further than I would be comfortable with. The whole exploring the reasons for class disruption rubbed me wrong. Personally I have no problem with fidgeting or students coming and going as long as they don't distract others, but chatting in class is a bit much.
