to my mind its hopeful that given that the protesters on this did have some small measure of success (at least getting some journals restored) they might take their new found appreciation for collective action and apply to activism for larger causes. If anything even remotely positive came out of the start of the HIV crisis, it was the lasting effect of creating a sophisticated and committed activist base in the gay community that has at least had some positive impact on civil rights for gaya (at least in some areas, and saly results vary by location) Of course the good will never meet up with the cost, and its a damn shame that in general people don't get off their ass to mobilize until something horrific happens

4. ~ They had no "legal duty", but considering they type of business it is, one would think they would take a Stronger stance for the freedom of speech of their clients...
