uhm omg eyeshield 21 is so underappreciated. writing + pacing + art were all pretty good from start to finish, especially the art, murata has some serious skillz and everyone actually looks different from one another, which is a rarity in shounen manga these days

lol i love tenipuri too but wow what even is that new prince of tennis whatever that konomi is putting out these days. so much second-hand embarrassment.

YESSSS. one of my favorite things about the manga is that visually, each panel is so dynamic and draws the reader in. which is why i don't think i'll ever be able to watch the anime, because there's just no way it can have the same sort of impact on screen, i think. and yes, you've touched upon something i hadn't thought of before -- the characters are all really unique-looking, not only in just costume and hair and etc., but in silhouette and body structure too, which i love, and is unfortunately a rarity these days, as you pointed out. Y SO UNDERAPPRECIATED, MY CREYS. ;_;

haha, i know right? i couldn't read more than a few chapters of new prince of tennis. it was just way too overdone and even by the end of the original tenipuri series, everyone basically had superpowers already. :|

i totally know what you mean!! like i'd spend a good ten minutes staring at a colour spread or a particular panel or something, the art is so detailed

lmao ikr, everyone's power level is over 9000 :') also like this page -- let's forget about tezuka behaving like he's forty, these guys have to actually be forty.

YES, i do the same. i love the angles murata-sensei draws too! they're always so dramatic and create the illusion of action really well. ahhh, i can't stop flailing over the awesome art~ xD

LOL, well put. xD OH GOD, WHAT EVEN. i also find it impossible that in the original POT series, that these middle schoolers can be so talented at tennis. >_> i mean, tezuka had better tennis skills than like, pete sampras, and i was like "...this is not possible..." lol.
