"I wanna go trick-or-treating!" curly-haired Chelsea whined, clutching drastically to Ginny's trousers and threatening to bring them down around her ankles.

Zeldon chirped in with, "Candy!"

The Tripper siblings were occupied with that muggle video gaming system Hermione had convinced her to put in. At least they weren't complaining.

"Take that you filthy zombie scum!" Brent Tripper roared, punching his fingers onto the buttons. That handle would be breaking down soon. The last one had only lasted a month, but that's what she got for running a daycare service at her house. Oh, she liked her job, loved it at times. But it was Halloween and there were only so many rings of the doorbell and so many children her kids could watch taking candy from their babysitter before they wanted to go. She didn't want to be in charge of four youngsters running unruly in Dansville.

The doorbell rang again and Ginny groaned. She turned off the porch light ten minutes ago. Wearily she walked to the door, Chelsea still hanging off her leg but now giggling. She opened the door to find Harry and Draco with their adopted daughter Eridanus perched on Harry's left hip.

"Hey, Ginny," he grinned. Eridanus reached her pudgy hands out and Ginny took her into her arms, smoothing back her light brown hair, so thin it appeared pasted to her head. She placed a kiss on her head, prompting Eridanus to look at her with wide eyes, deep dimples present.

Eridanus gurgled, being unable to talk yet.

Draco let out an impatient sigh. "You can bond with Eridanus after we get in the house. It's bloody cold out." He rubbed his hands together, giving an eye roll to Harry, who didn't notice as he was fondly watching Ginny and his daughter.

Ginny grudging moved out of the doorway but not before reprimanding Draco. She was running a daycare; it was no place for swearing. Draco didn't react, having heard her say that many times.

The two men entered the house and Ginny frowned at what followed them: Spencer and Regan, Ron and Hermione's five year old twins, notorious for following in the footsteps of their twin uncles. Of course Harry and Draco couldn't simply visit, they had to bring three extra children.

Harry flopped onto the couch while Draco sat carefully. The twins dashed off to the video games, shoving the Tripper siblings. Ginny shuffled over, trying to carry Eridanus and not kick Chelsea.

"Grown an extra body part?" Draco drawled, looking disdainfully at Chelsea. It was obvious Draco would never allow Eridanus to do that, but Ginny wasn't worried because Harry would most likely encourage it. "Rather ugly looking. I'd have it amputated."

It took Chelsea a few seconds of consideration before she figured amputation was bad for her and released Ginny's leg, stretching on the floor and peering up at Ginny with a pout.

Ginny ignored her and sat on the armchair across from the men, placing Eridanus on her lap and cooing at her. Someday she hoped to adopt. After she found the right woman that is. Absently she watched, over the pads of Eridanus' toes, Harry lean towards Draco and whisper something. Draco scrunched his face and shook his head rapidly. They were a strange couple but somehow worked.

Five years ago, shortly after the war ended with Voldemort's demise, there had been a breakout in Azkaban. Lucius Malfoy hadn't been seen since the breakout but Ginny knew he was still alive and kicking because everyone knew Draco broke him out, they just didn't have good enough evidence. In fact, Harry and Draco started dating when Harry had tried getting Draco to reveal the information of where his dad was hidden. To this day Draco hadn't told, but it didn't seem to put a strain on their relationship, or if it did they didn't show it. Ginny never did understand exactly how they went from questioning to fucking but she wasn't about to ask for the details. That was Harry's life and she wouldn't like him doing the same to her. Of course, that hadn't stopped Ron and Hermione from asking. Harry had stayed silent though so Ginny guessed it was embarrassing on his part.

Ginny puffed once more on the soles of Eridanus' feet before cutting into their whispered conversation. "So, how'd you get stuck with Fred and George's evil incarnates?" Behind her the Weasleys and Trippers started screaming over the controllers. "Share!" she barked but they didn't listen, only quieting slightly.

"Harry's an idiot and said we would watch them while they went to some career party, even though he knew very well that we had other plans." Harry slouched under Draco's stern look, but then he smiled sheepishly at Ginny and sat straight to place a kiss on Draco's jaw.

"Your daughter's in the room!" Ginny said, mostly because she didn't want to see it and knew they had a tendency to get carried away, no matter who was in the room with them. She still remembered that disastrous dinner at her parents' house.

Draco raised one eyebrow and Harry laughed. Eridanus was too busy kicking her legs, trying to entice Ginny for more puffing to notice what her daddies were doing, not that she would care.

"Candy!" Zeldon yelled, placing his hands on his hips and stomping away from the window to Ginny. "Candy!"

"Yeah," Chelsea added, bottom lip thrusting even farther out.

"Actually," Draco started, and Ginny frowned. He just wanted to make her life worse, he did. "We were going to take Eridanus on her first trick-or-treating until Harry had to screw that up." He glared before finishing, "So, why don't we take all of these kids out?"

Ginny would have jumped up from the chair in dread if Eridanus wasn't in her lap. Harry must have sensed this because he quickly took her. "What'd you say, Eri? Want to go trick-or-treating? Tell auntie Ginny you want to go."

Draco huffed. "Eridanus," he corrected. Harry ignored him.

Ginny peered into Eridanus' baby face and couldn't say no. That girl would be the death of her. She may not have even been around for a year but Draco and Harry especially knew how to use her to get what they wanted. Besides, all her kids were looking in interest now, jumping up in down, the Tripper's trudging over her brother's children. She muttered the horrid words, "I guess."

Ten minutes later, after using all their limited spells pertaining to things that could be worn, all seven children were wearing some kind of costume. They headed out into the cold, chilly air, laughter swirling around them. "Stay with us," Ginny warned for Brent and Trish were already creeping away. She waved her wand, using a new locking spell Hermione had created a year ago. Only she could open it, even if someone got a hold of her wand, because it responded to her exact magical signature and a slight tweaking in the words.

At the first house Ginny hung back on the sidewalk; those neighbors were homophobic and hated her because of that. As she watched Harry and Draco walk up, Eridanus done up like some angel who fell in a bin, she figured she should have said something but didn't really care. It was their fault she was freezing her bum off while six kids ran feral, all trying to race in different directions.

When they left the porch, the other kids tripping in front of them, Draco placed a hand on the small of Harry's back, guiding him. Behind them, Mrs. Broutsworth's face pinched and the mars bar in her hand scrunched. Ginny burst out in laughter, taking Spencer and Regan's outstretched hands in her own. Mrs. Broutsworth glowered at her in disgust but then another haul of kids rushed up, distracting her. That was great.

The cold began to seep into her bones, bypassing her clothes. She shivered, holding a sleeping Zeldon in her arms. He was a bit too big to be holding but she did, happy for this one sweet moment. Oh how she wished she had a child.

Regan tossed the candy apple she had received two houses ago on the street, waving off Harry's soft command to put it in a trash bin, and squeezed her legs together, shifting. "Potty."

Harry ruffled her hair, which was the exact Weasley shade. Her twin, Spencer had Hermione's hair. "It has been about an hour. How long until we get back to your house?" He turned to Ginny.

"We haven't even turned around yet," she answered dryly. "And none of use can do side-along apparation."

The Trippers, Spencer, and Chelsea raced back to them, showing off their half-filled grocery bags. "Lots of candy, ay?" she asked. "We're going to head back now. Regan has to use the loo." They all groaned loudly.

"Pansy lives right down the street," Draco said, shifting a bleary-eyed Eridanus so that he could point. "That one with the red shutters. She can use her loo, and we can warm up."

Ginny's lips curled on their own accord. She didn't like Pansy Parkinson. The woman thought too high and mighty of herself. Ginny should know; she'd met her off and on over the past five years, thanks to Harry dating Pansy's best friend. Ginny wanted so desperately to say no, they weren't going to her house, but Regan already started to the house and Ginny didn't want to deal with wet knickers.

The doorbell rang loudly only to be answered by a house elf. Ginny's scowl deepened but the children, all coming from cheaper families expect for Eridanus, marveled at it, sitting down next to it. Chelsea tweaked its ears.

"Mister Malfoy, sir!" it squeaked, shifting its ears away from Chelsea's hands subtly. Ginny wasn't sure if it was a boy or a girl. Sometimes they were hard to tell apart. No matter how many house elves she saw thanks to Hermione's elf campaigns it didn't help in determining their genders.

"I'll get Mistress Parkinson!" It disappeared with a snap, leaving the kids in a stupor.

Draco led them into the sitting room, depositing Eridanus on the armchair carefully. She gave an almightily yawn and reached her fingers out, clutching for something. After prodding from Draco, Harry jumped and pulled a little toy bear from his pocket, placing it in his daughter's hands.

"Loo is down that hallway, second door on the right," Draco informed Regan, who nodded and headed in that direction, her footsteps confident.

Ginny put Zeldon on one of the couches -- he was getting heavy -- before landing next to him. The house was set up exactly like hers but larger, and obviously owned by someone with wealth because of the expensive décor.

"Draco, darling!" Pansy spoke from directly behind the couch, making Ginny jump. Pansy and Draco met half-way, hugging. Harry's lips pursed. It was a well-known fact that a year ago when Harry and Draco had broken up Draco slept with Pansy. Ginny didn't think there was anything for Harry to worry about though. Draco was too smitten with him, and he told her that Pansy was a terrible lay.

Pansy and Harry exchanged terse nods and Pansy sent a smile at Eridanus' sleeping form. "Oh, and you brought Ginny." Her voice was clipped. Draco nodded and led her to the seat next to Ginny. He had this strange fixation for making them sit next to each other whenever they were near. If it was to make Harry feel better or because he liked torturing them (either was a likely case), Ginny wasn't sure.

The adults were silent for a long time. The children filled it though with excited shouts and open-mouthed munching until one by one they fell asleep scattered on the floor, armchairs, and couches.

Out of the blue, which was how it always happened, Draco leaned across the small distance between Harry and him, sucking gently on his earlobe. Ginny locked eyes with Pansy, sharing the same sentiment. It was the only thing they ever agreed on.

"I think," Draco murmured, standing and pulling Harry up with him, "That I'll show Harry that new vase you bought. The one with the Egyptian scenes depicted."

Pansy raised one eyebrow. "Harry likes vases?"

"Oh, Harry loves vases. Don't you?" He slipped a hand down the back of Harry's trousers, bringing him closer.

Harry gasped, "Vases. Wonderful." Then they dashed up the stairs, Harry voice trailing back to them, muffled from what Ginny didn't care to know. "Can you watch Eri?"

"Danus!"

Ginny slouched and crossed her arms defensively. Pansy was still staring at the stairs. There was one other reason Ginny didn't like Pansy. There was something about her that attracted Ginny. She didn't understand it. Pansy's hair was too short for her taste and she had a pug nose, not to mention her sour attitude.

"Lots of kids," said Pansy finally. The silence was starting to get to Ginny.

"Yeah." She paused. "Those two are Ron and Hermione's, Spencer and Regan. That one beside you is Zeld--"

With a scrunched nose, Pansy interrupted. "I don't care who they are. I don't like kids. Annoying."

Ha! Another bad thing about the woman.

"Draco tells me you're a lesbian."

That remark was so far off anything Ginny thought she would say that she could only gape.

"He's wrong?" She pouted her light red lips, black hair falling into her eyes. "That's too bad. I was curious."

"Curious?" croaked Ginny.

Pansy leered, leaning forward so she was breathing onto Ginny's face. "Yes. I always wondered what it would be like to kiss another girl." She licked her lips.

She had to be kidding. Never before had she shown any interest. Besides, the room was full with little children, half of which Ginny was supposed to be babysitting. She questioned, "Trick?"

A wicked grin grew across Pansy's face. "Treat," she corrected. She moved forward, much too confident for someone who never kissed a girl, Ginny thought. The first time she did she was a blubbering mess. But then their lips were touching and Ginny forgot what she was thinking. Pansy tasted familiar, like something from a dream.

Suddenly Pansy's hands were tangled in her fiery hair and she climbed into her lap, bending Ginny's head back to lick down her neck. Ginny gasped, her mind clearing. It hit her. That taste was exactly what she imagined in her dreams of the perfect woman: sweet with a sour tang underneath. But Pansy would never be the perfect woman.

"Sweet," Pansy moaned, reattaching their lips and thrusting her hand up Ginny's shirt. Ginny barely had time to wonder what she was talking about before cold hands wrapped around her bra-less breasts. Maybe she could grow to like Pansy. If she kept rubbing like that it would be fairly easy. Ginny was turning to putty under her.

"What are you doing?" a child's voice asked. Pansy snapped back, almost falling to the floor. Ginny stared wide-eyed at Zeldon, who was now standing on the other end of the couch, confusion shown in his features.

"Erm," Ginny hesitated. Loud laughter sounded from the stairs. Harry and Draco were standing there, bent over clutching their stomachs and leaning on each other for support. The other kids started to rouse. "Nothing. We were playing a game."

Pansy smirked and stood. "I imagine those children's parents will be picking them up soon."

Ginny checked her watch. Chelsea's parents would be there in ten minutes.

"Floo," Draco managed through his laughter. Harry composed himself enough to grab Eridanus and help Ginny hustle the rest to the fireplace.

"Powder is above the mantle," Pansy said, voice full of amusement. Ginny steadily avoided her gaze.

Before Ginny could push any of the kids through the fireplace Harry spoke. "Why don't the four of us catch a quidditch game this weekend?" Pansy shrugged and Ginny stared horror-struck at him. He was supposed to be her friend!

"You're bloody brilliant," announced Draco, kissing Harry roughly. Eridanus screamed in delight, waving her hands about and managing to hit both of them in the jaw. Ginny never felt so proud of her then at that moment.

"I might be busy," Ginny declined. She was going to make sure she was busy. Harry wanted to disagree and Pansy was leering at her again so Ginny did the only thing she could do, she escaped into the fireplace. "Send the kids one by one after me." She tossed a pinch of power down, yelling "Weasley abode!" and lost herself in the green flames flickering around her. It was warm and all the spinning made her stomach clench. It reminded her of Pansy's fingernails scrapping up her stomach before latching onto her breasts. That imagine would be staying with her for a while, whether she liked it or not.
