Larry wasn't one to brood. Larry didn't have time to brood, considering he had paperwork to do and superiors to answer to. It took him some time to straighten the whole mess out, and all he wanted to do was to go and catch the game. He was surprised, however, to see a familiar redhead in his favorite bar.
"Fancy seeing you here," he deadpanned as he loosened his tie and came to sit beside her.
Renee wasn't exactly sure how to react when Larry sat down next to her. She was still upset with herself and felt a bit nervous since she left work without saying anything to him.
She couldn't quite make eye contact with him as she replied, "Hello, Larry. I...meant to see you before I left."
"Don't worry about it." Larry was clearly in his 'off work' mode as he ordered the usual from the bartender and relaxed, checking the score of the game. "I didn't notice. I was busy compiling everyone's reports to send them to regional command."
Renee noticed Larry's somewhat relaxed tone of voice and felt a bit more at ease. "Of course. If there's anything else you needed from me, just let me know."
She nodded slowly and said, "I will be. I just wish things turned out better."
