On a recent trip to Thrillsville's local used bookshop after a relatively extended interim, I was drawn towards this U.K. printing of Gordon Dickson's Dorsai!
When I was about 9 or 10, my mother came back from a business trip with a copy of "A Horse and His Boy" as a gift. My introduction to Narnia was confusing and full of references that I didn't understand - and in no way reduced the pleasure of the reading. Reading the rest of the series was a bit like I imagine archeology - rebuilding a history out of scraps as they are uncovered.
Now that I'm a grown-up (well, in name anyway), if I stumble across something interesting and serialized, whenever possible I tr to ferret out all the pieces before starting down the fictional journey.

Maybe I'm missing something for this.
Interesting.
