i'm a baptised, communized, and confirmed Roman Catholic... but i don't practice any more. don't get me wrong, i believe in God, but not necessarily the same way that Catholics do.

anyway, i loved this entry. i think everyone can find something here that they like/relate to/understand... and we can all be enlightened by it in some way, small or big. i think you're a very special person to be able to be so open with your religion. a lot of people are scared to speak about their beliefs with others, because they think they'll be made fun of or someone will try to prove them wrong.

i think everything you said is true, in its own right. personally, i was touched by "you were created to solve a human problem... and it will take all your focus." I AGREE WHOLEHEARTEDLY!! we all have a purpose, whether we know it yet or not. and i can't give up on myself just yet.

yeah, but, i'm not catholic. im christian.
and there is a diffrence. a BIG diffrence.
catholics believe you go to heaven by good works, thats why they have you do all that stuff. because they belive you cant get to heaven otherwise.
but christians believe you go to heaven by faith. but see the problem is, alot of catholics wont go to heaven because the bible says you get to heaven NOT by good works but by faith. i can show you a verse.

Ephesians 2:8-9
"For it is by grace you have been saved through faith-and this not from yourselves, it's the gift of God. Not by works, so that no one can boast.

But yeah. i was taking notes then later i felt God telling me to post it in lj..and its so funny jut as i finished it said "error" and then i had to retype THE WHOLE THING. i left alot of "comments" out that round around though..which i proley shouldnt have done. but certain things i thought were self explanitory so i didnt explain but yeah.

ha ha, yeah, silly Catholics! (i think Catholics are crazy, that's why i "quit")... i agree, it's compeletely about faith. i just wanted to make the point that i'm not an athiest, and i believe in some of the aspects of Christianity, for the sake of discussion.

i think that's really freaky that you got an error... cuz i never get errors on LJ... weird... it's things like that, that make you think...

oh, quick question. when you say you're "Christian", is it because you're from the Church of Christ?

No, its not. A church i go to, a school i go to, ect wont determine my religion.
I have put my faith in Christ, i know that i have repented and i have faith that he died on the cross and THAT will get me to heaven, and that is what does it. Jesus is like wowie.
And yeah, i really do beleive that error was Satan trying to stop me. I do. In my heart the holy spirit told me, normally if that happens i just say whatever and dont post it, and i almost didnt retype it. then ir ealized, Satan wants to get at me, so i retyped it. and yeah.
again--i have more notes today if youd like to read them, in the bible notes part there is a part where i wrote what salvation is. =P
