Ahhh.
I am finally back in my favorite place in the whole wide world... bed! I think I said this before, but I still aspire to be a professional sleeper when I grow up :P We'll stay out of the LJ archives today and stay in the present! haha. Anyway, today was alright. My favorite coworker, Lisa, is off for the rest of the week.. so work was kinda boring.. I got denied my schedule change. Ugh. He was nice about it, I guess. The big boss claims that per "operations" the offices needs x amount of people 830-5, x amount of people 8-430, x amount of people 730-4... etc, etc. Apparently I have to remains on the 830-5 schedule to accommodate the balance. What a crock of shit, if you ask me. He was sympathetic about me being concerned about having to leave work randomly to take my aunt to the doctor.. he said I could look into care taker/relative FMLA. I tried to talk to HR today.. the bitch said she was there.. but I couldn't find her. HR is a joke here, anyway. Every three months or so we get a new HR person.. barely can meet them and they're gone. Whatever. I will inquire if I need to. Wanda texted me today and told me that the social worker from Davita might have found her a cheaper medical transportation program. Hopefully it's legit.. I never believe these things until I see them. I made out lucky this week. They want her to continue the treatment on her leg until the end of the month.. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. My brother has been bringing her at early times before he goes to work at 11. FINALLY.. it's about time this fuck stepped up. Anyway, I didn't have to take any time off this week to take her, which was nice. I continue to be more involved with transportation then the damn DOT, though. Wanda and I are going to see The Lion King on Broadway this coming Saturday. It's not entirely the 'real thing'--meaning it's not in NYC or anything. It's at the Bushnell.. However, I do hear that it's a good show either way and we've been wanting to see it for quite some time. It'll be fun and something different to do. I actually have a lot of things coming up for the remainder of the month. Brayden's birthday party, Brittany's engagement party, Eli Young Band concert,... just to name a few.. I will probably be complaining soon.. hahaha. I don't think we're going to have any overtime this weekend.. shitty. I need the money. I made a huge dent into my credit card debt and I want to keep that going.. it'll feel good once that's lower. I've been doing better.. still impulsive, but.. trying :P I guess the break will do me good. I am going to take Wanda shopping and stuff on Friday so I can have Sunday to myself to just relax. Jim is off, so maybe we'll catch a movie or something. Things seem to be going well lately. Some aspects of my life are more difficult, but I am (sort of) able to see the positives coming out as well. Luck has also been on our side.. Jim went to the casino the other day--his cousin and her husband are visiting from PA and have never been--and he entered a FREE slot tournament. He called me around 3:30 PM and said that he had to leave because they had to be somewhere for 4:30.. He said that as of that time he was in first place. We ended up going back later that day with Wanda (she was happy as fuck to get out, lol)...and the tournament ended at 4:30 and no one beat his score or whatever. $2500 dollar prize!!! I was in the corner when the guy told him and I just screamed so loudly. Haha. it was so exciting, I was so happy for him.. and ME :P I didn't do so well this time around. Lost 80$, but Jim gave me 50$ of his money back so I guess I was only out $30. He's too good to me, hahaa. The money came at a needed time, though.. someone is looking out. He has to buy his books for school soon.. and a huge chunk can be used on his bills and what not. Now if $2500 would just come this way....I might charge up my kindle tomorrow and buy a new book. Not sure what yet.. but I have the urge to start reading again.. gotta get back into old hobbies.. what little hobbies I have. One of these days I am going to find something I enjoy that actually sticks. Maybe this will be it.. hahaha. Oh well.. 10:00 is rolling around. Time to relax for the rest of the night.XO
