Oh my goodness, you capture RDJ's Tony so well, the physical tics and mannerisms and voice, all of it. His mouth jerks left, his eyes right, I can see that so clearly.
Bruce would resent it but Pepper and Rhodes have long since lost the trick of listening with only half an ear when Tony's saying something real even when that's what Tony wants - needs, really, would be a good way of putting it.
Ahhhh, yes.
Tony's face does that complicated origami that means he's freaked out and flattered and trying really hard to pretend he doesn't have any setting other than flippant.
Oh my goodness, that's amazing. This all is, I love it. *beams*
Hooray! I cannot help but feel that the cat in your icon is a good role model for Bruce Banner. :)
RDJ is such a kinetic Tony! I'm super glad that comes through off the page, because his funny little "oh no! Emotions immanent!" faces are one of my fave things about the movies!
And I felt so bad about poor Bruce being a sleepy jerk in the post credits scene until I thought about why for a while, and that Tony did not seem too rattled by same. I love little snippets that beg for explanation!
Hooray, hooray! As always, your thorough comments are such a force for encouragement (which is not intended as emotional blackmail- meep!) But it's so kind of you and very much appreciated!
Hooray! I am super glad that you liked the voices! I was kind of trying to get my hand back in on voices with this little ficlet. RDJ's Tony is so... distinct. I really enjoyed writing this. Thanks much for commenting!
