Ack! I am amazingly bad at adulthood. Long story, but I am making house payments for someone in my family in pretty dire need, which means I haven't replaced the computer that got broken in July, or got a bed frame, and some other Fairly Necessary Sundries. I am sitting in one of my favorite places in the whole world, a little Syrian hookah joint in Brooklyn Heights where all of the armrests have absurd tattered fringe and the walls are covered with paintings designed to make Edward Said roll in his grave. 11 o'clock and ally's well!
Power is still out for us while they sort out some basement flooding so I will keep this short and spare the ol' batteries. We are safe and sound and still have water service and are expected to have power back shortly. It was quite beautiful/chilling to see half of the lights on the Williamsburg bridge go out while the other half remained. -

I really love box office figures. I know I have a bit of a problem; I even went so far as to have a little money down on fantasy summer box office lineup one year.
