so, last night i was thinking about abortion, particularly teenage abortion, and it just doesn't make sense. i mean, it is illegal for a 14 year old to drink, it is illegal for a 14 year old to smoke, it is illegal for a 14 year old to be out past 11PM, it is illegal for a 14 year old to drop out of school, it is illegal for a 14 year old to drive

i don't want to argue either, but-

no "image" was created here. at 14, the brain is still developing and a person is not fully matured.

"Having a baby is time consuming and hard on people" ok, well then, don't have one. the point of sex is to reproduce, not just for pure enjoyment.

"And i know plenty of 14 year olds that have a tight grasp on life and can logically put together that having a baby would ruin thier lives and that thier babies would be brought up in a unprepared unstable, and difficult environment" adoption.

"and i know 2 girls that have had babies at 15 and regret it because it has torn apart thier families, drained them physically and financialy."
that's where responsibility comes in. they made the choice knowing full well what the consequences could be. it isn't the baby's fault. it's theirs. and, they could put their baby up for adoption.

i just don't think it's right for a baby to die because it's mother made a choice and it's just too inconvenient for her to live with the consequences.

Sex is not fully for reproduction
It is for intamicy
It is a step in a relationship
and it is a way to feel closer to your partner
whether you believe that is the way it should be
that is a generally accepted fact

but i also agree that people have sex for fun now

and the adoption thing is rediculous
there are so many kids already waiting
and that have been waiting for years
That does no good, it simply makes aother problem bigger.

Id would also like to see you give up your baby to some other family.
I would think it would be easier to not have a baby
than to give it away to some other lady
and have her raise your baby.

And you also have to consider what if the girl got raped
and what if she will die if she has the baby from birth complications.

all you see is that they are murdering a poor inocennt baby
thats not even born yet

but you have to consider everything

you can have your own personal beliefs and not get one
great, like i said your choice but

you cant govern someone elses life like that.

i dont personally agree with abortions and would never have one but,

i fully believe it should be legal only because if it were illegal there would be millions of girls accidentaly killing themselves in back alley abortions despite all the laws we've set up to protect them [such as curfews and drinking laws]

ps-- i think the idea of making abortions illegal is sort of like making alcohol illegal. it sounds great in theory, but it would never work.

Like Sarah said, I would never have an abortion, but thats my choice, not the choice of every other woman

i think it should be freedom of choice. period. i know its killing a life but seriously, i really dont get people disagreeing with abortion but like anna said i do respect ur opinion.
