That's weird, given you probably have more experience working with children than lots of people who apply. Still, at least it gives you something to try and do if you want to reapply next year. There are probably some volunteer opportunities that could help for something like this.

Maybe you could look at helping out with after school care or something similar. That's if you're still keen to be a teacher.
