Yesterday morning I was really angry, but that passed. Then I felt a little defeated, it makes me just want to hide away. But I hope that's not the reaction that the gay community takes from this. I really want to fight back somehow, stand up for what I believe in. I don't even really need to get married, it's just the principal of the matter. We ( Read more... )

I'm glad you're taking the right approach to the current situation. Just because you've lost today's battle, doesn't mean the war's lost. Honestly, I think the real reason people have this hatred/fear of homosexuality is religion (and change). Religion's all great and all, but when you start using it as a crutch for how to live life...

Common sense has no place in the world now.

It's good to see people riled up about gay rights, but releasing names of supporters of Prop 8 and then ostractizing them is a good way to make people even more anti-gay. They should really be doing something more productive...

Oh I totally agree about the religion thing. It shouldn't have an effect because there's supposedly this thing called separation of church and state but apparently no one follows the rules of our constitution.

And yeah I agree about the blacklisting too. We need to take a cue from MLK Jr...even though black people voted 70% in favor of Prop 8. Hah...but yeah, we need to educate, not attack (too much).
