If I were to pickany magazine off the newstand,it would definitely be GLAMOUR. I know I shouldn't be reading magazines, however I just love this one. It's not just about fashion and beauty, but mostly about empowering women! There are so much stories about women who are just like me who have made a difference in America, and if not, the world! I never really looked at Glamour mgagazine... but it the content is as good as you describe, that's awesome :) Many fashion magazines now-adays have very little content, and it's mainly Ads :P
$20/for 2 years? not bad at all! (the only bad thing I can remember about subscribing from guam though, was that I would get the magazine in the mail AFTER it hits the news stand ! :( that alwaysm kind of ignored me, but the subscriptions are much cheaper than the newsstand prices! :) I hope your headache is gone now!

OMG, that's so INSTYLE and ELLE, they have so much Ads it makes me sick! hahaha... but glamour is much better.

and I do agree, they come in late! but I'm willing just to think I'll be paying almost a hundred bucks if I bought in the newsstand than paying 20, for all that!
