Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King AbaddonCharacter Age: Teenaged
Canon: In the year Taisho 20, an alternate 1931 Japan is under attacked by luck-stealing bugs. Coupled with an assassination conspiracy and a mysterious request to find a missing person, this certainly is a tough case to crack for the Narumi Detective Agency. Despite the anachronistic technological advancements such as rockets and giant robots in it, the capital does not have potent enough bug sprays available on hand. Subsequently, it falls on the resident high school student, part-time detective and the capital’s protector, Raidou Kuzunoha XIV’s shoulder to handle this matter. Luckily, the titular character also moonlights as a devil summoner, someone who negotiates and fights demons to protect the public’s safety, so though his luck may be for the worst, he still has his demons to assist him with his cases. When the problem moves beyond the Capital, Raidou finds many allies helping him, including his fellow summoners, Geirin Kuzunoha XVII, who’s also bringing along his apprentice and successor, Nagi.
At first, Nagi appears distant due to her pretentious posture and demeanor. In truth, however, she is loyal to the people that are important to her and will try her best in assisting them. But even while dealing with those she cares for, Nagi still keeps her serious demeanor and expresses her concerns in a roundabout way. In fact, don’t let her analytical speech pattern fools you; Nagi is actually quite reckless. One to jump into dangerous situations without regards for her own safety if it means that she could achieve her goals. Nagi highly treasures her master, trying her best in order to fulfill his expectation. This affection also extends to her master’s name, one that she will inherit in the future and consequently, she will try her best to uphold it. Naturally, she takes her duty as a summoner very seriously and strives to get stronger in order to properly perform it. Like her master, Nagi tends to spam the word process and theory quite a bit in her speech.
Note: All summoners in this series can talk to and understand supernatural beings to some degree, allowing them to negotiate with demons.

Your request is well within the bounds of my conjecture, Moogle.
Certainly, as you say, this place possesses the most peculiar scenery. I have witnessed many cornfields during my training here in America, but I have never witnessed so many demons living with humans with such a strong theory for peace. The fact that humans and demons can coexist without conflicts here must make this encampment a wonderful place to live in. Therefore, it is logical for the public to assume that, in theory, all is well within this encampment, which renders the request for assistance that my master received from you highly illogical. However, I could not let this matter drop so easily, especially after arriving here, and I decided that a preliminary process of investigation is in order. As such, I’ve discovered that all may not be well within this area after all.
According to the residents here, a demon named Marcy once terrorized this area. Fortunately, due to various methods, she was calmed down...until now, where she has began the process of rampaging once again. Undoubtedly, judging from the gorilla's use of the phrase “young ones arousing her”, she was disturbed by the presence of the new generations and the technology that they bring. Currently, many sacrifices were offered to appease her, one of which is another member of your kind. Which was why you contacted my master for his assistance in negotiating with that demon to release your friend, am I correct? As I am currently acting under my master’s name, I promise to not fail this process of negotiations at all cost. Moogle, please identify the location of this Marcy!
... I appreciate your advice for me to take precautions, or in your own words “to save first before fighting a difficult boss”, but I believe that refusing to do so does not result in “certain suicide” as you put it. Though, Marcy may be unable to vacate the premise, I can’t just abandon this task and continue the process of self-training because my skill level is not high enough. What category of summoner would I be if I chose to remain idle when someone is in the midst of danger? Thank you for your concern, but I must proceed on with my attempt to locate her. I see, so she’s situated in that silo? Thank you, Moogle. I shall carry this process of negotiations in releasing your friend from Marcy’s clutch to the full extent of my abilities.
Marcy, It is my desire that you cease this rampage at once. Surely, you can understand the feelings of the other demons and humans around you. Though, humans may not be the same category of beings as demons, I theorize- no, know for a fact that with the right process, we all can come to an understanding. If you believe that my theory is plausible, please unhand that Moogle, and then we can begin to negotiate a compromise between us.
-The process to reach an understanding between us does not require physical contact!
