La Transardennaise - A Report

So this weekend Jules and me went on La Transardennaise. A normally 7 day walk (not including the 1st day of arrival) through the Ardennes. We not being that experienced in the walking department, opted for the shorter, 3 days of walking, from La Roche-en-Ardenne and ending in Nassogne. In total a whopping 75 km of walking in 3 days. That after the first walk and accompanying dinner, we were still so hungry that we ate a big row of cookies and a stack of peanut butter sandwiches. Which I called proof our dinner had been lacking, and Jan called "a midnight snack"

That my french rocked as I talked with the french hotelier/chef for a large part of the evening!

And that Jan getting excited about little jumping piggies for hours was encredibly cute :)

I'm so jealous of you guys for seeing boars... the only wildlife I saw was ants :(

the signalisation was great, and all you need, really :)

They were awesome. The route was marked with a yellow and white stripe. If a direction change was coming, it would be a double yellow and white. And on all the side roads along the route the yellow and white line would form a cross.

In our 3 days of walking we we never took a wrong road. So yeh, pretty awesome.
