So my battery apparently needed to be recharged, and that’s supposedly what the problem was. However I’m not so sure, seeing how I tried to start it and it started up and then shut down. Finally after starting it up and revving it for about a minute it stayed on but the engine was eerily quite. So now it’s just me going through trial and error and ( Read more... )

Hmm. We have had that issue before. It could be the alternator- that charges the battery, I think.

When you start it does it try to turn over?

normally when I start it I can get it running but now it requires a good minute of reving if not it just dies back down. This is something I have never had to do before to get the engine up and running.

could be alternator. if it was just the battery it would click at you. reving is giving it the juice to keep going since the alterntor fuels the battery that is where that could be. when you could not start it before and they said it was the battery was it clicking at you? did the recharge the battery fully? if they did and you are still having to do that it is definitly the alternator, if they didn't its cause the battery needs to be replaced and the alternator is having to compensate.

The first time it happened when I tried to start it I did get a clicking noise. After bringing it over to goodyear they said they recharged the battery fully. but now of course I have to go through the whole song and dance I described. I just dropped it off again and told them that it could also be the alternator so I wont know untill later today.
