A hidden talent that only three people knew that Nick had was the fact that he could sing quite well, in three languages even. But his favorite song of all time was Senza Fine by Gino Paoli; his mother would lull him to sleep in the coldest nights in Chicago...even if she was Bengali and could barely speak English, let alone Italian. Still, no one else gave that song justice like Amrita did in the child's eyes. He didn't care (or understand) if the rest of the neighborhood called them "slumdogs", he loved his mother unconditionally...up until she remarried and left him behind at the age of 14. Yes, he did turn to a life of crime but he still kept her in his heart by humming the song during downtimes. It caught the attention of one Selene Mercutio-Giorgetti, his future wife. That was ten years, a divorce, and a burn ago.
Nick found himself singing the song again in some random stop back to Chicago, even after he vowed never to do so...slumdogs were not allowed to tarnish Italian treasures. It just slipped from his mind straight into his mouth while he and Ellis tried to regroup. "I didn't know yew coul' sing, Nick," the hick complimented with a mesmerized look on his eyes. "There's a whole lot of shit you don't know about me, sport; some things are better left where they are."
"Still, it's a shame yew don' utter a tune here or there," Ellis quickly recovered and yawned; the song had a lulling effect that was desperately needed in the Zombie Apocalypse. The conman caught that and grinned before pulling the mechanic on his lap. "Senza fine, Tu trascini la nostra vita..."
[ooc: A little side note is the fact that both Hugh Dillon (Nick's Voice Actor) and Saif Ali Khan (me and
mealy_mouth 's choice of PB for Angels & Asses) both are accomplished musicians]
