whydah. A survey for all of my art friends on my friend page to fill out.
How long have you been drawing?
Just started a few months ago, and hopefully will continue in order to pursue my dream of drawing my own comics.
How would you describe your style?:
It pretty much joins the slush of any wanabe anime artist/manga, cartoony and somewhat inspired by the art of The Life and Times of Juniper Lee.
What medium(s) do you work in?: PS/OC3.0E+ (Wacom w00t), Tria Markers, pencil
Any regular HB pencil you can find in your local Staples.
Influences: animé, The Life and Times of Juniper Lee, the art of Becky Cloonan
Favorite piece of work to date: Little doodle of a closet monster character having some downtime on a sunny beach.
In your opinion, the best?: A picture of a main character in one of my comics called Ginger dressed as a flapper girl from the 1920s.
Give yourself a short critique:
Where to start? Need to start learning how the body works by drawing more people, possibly from models. Don't get too fussed up about details, you are still learning. Study character design.
Favorite character/person to draw:
Ginger, Monty (short for Montgomery) the Closet Monster, and Oryonokho.
Least favorite:
First picture of Gideon.
Your personal favorite artists?:
Henson, Burton, Cloonan, David Mack, Sang-Sun Park, Takeshi Obata, M. Alice LeGrow, Mark Buckingham
Something you've always wanted to do artistically, but have not yet?:
A cast of characters portrait
Favorite tricks/handy things you know?
Not yet
Finally, the biggest art lesson you ever learned?
Keep trying!
