As a mom....it was an emotional roller coaster....as an absolute fan of this foursome( or is it six?) I loved it. What a wonderful exchange of honesty between Vala and Jack; something I was not expecting and as such even more delightful. (even with its emotional intensity)

Loved Sam and her save of the day on the zoo and aquarium thing, especially since they are a pleasure of ours to take the kids!

Glad you liked it! They make quite the fun group of 6.

Jack and Vala is interesting because I'm not sure they think have much in common except from this one awful tragic thing, so when they finally address it, its a huge deal, especially given that they both have another son/daughter who brings those memories up.

Thanks for the review :)

Loved this story, and its title! I didn't make the link between what Jack and Vala had in common until reading this story now. I really liked how you explored both comparisons and when clara asked "why don't you believe me mother" I do admit to gasping. :) I also loved the pacing of the story, with the odd moments with the children thrown in to lighting things. Flangst indeed.

Great job. And I love your name. :D

Thank you so much for reading! Yeah Vala and Jack don't actually get much friendship stuff on the show, but they do share this one unfortunate thing.

lol most ppl don't even know what my name means! hehe so thanks for that as well.

Wow...this was REALLY good! I never thought of Jack and Vala's situation being even remotely alike or thought of him opening up to anyone outside of the original SG-1 like that. But this so worked.

And if Sam had to leave a child in someone's care while gating to another world - in whose better hands than Jack's? :D

No, really, very very very well done.

Well, thank you very very very much for reading!

Jack and Vala got like nothing to do together on the show, and I don't think anything short of them being parents again, (especially to children who remind them of their loss) would make them address this tragic common experience with each other.
