To avoid any confusion in the future, all official ConneXions announcements to this community should be made by Martha, aprilvalentine, myself or another concomm member. Members of this community may make official announcements regarding ConneXions business only if they have prior written/verbal permission from Martha or concomm personnel ( Read more... )

I for one am extremely grateful to the members of the yahoo list who stepped forward and posted information. I'm glad to see a post asking everyone to keep it official, and hope that means the concomm is going to take a more active interest in this livejournal community.

In the future, official posts on this community will be made by concomm members or Martha from now on.

Martha had intended to make the cancellation announcement here Saturday or so she informed me when I spoke with her Saturday morning on the phone.

People have to realize that Martha just had a heart attack and she is very tired, on medication, and has to go to many doctor's appointments. Plus she has been generally told to sleep and just take it easy. Her last concern should be getting on the Internet. She made the post on Yahoo Groups and intended soon after that to post here. We are sorry that it wasn't done within a 24 hour timeframe, but it would have been done within 48 hours - I would have seen to that -as I said in my post on 01/15/07. People jumped the gun and emotions got involved. So, now a new rule has been made about posting official announcements to clarify things.

People are going to have to understand that not everyone on the concomm is even on Livejournal. Myself, and Rosalita, iamrosalita are, and Martha is, but with her ( ... )

If accessing the livejournal site is an impossible chore, but you are going to continue to make official announcements here, maybe you should consider posting via e-mail.

I'm pretty sure there's a fair number of people who don't subscribe to the yahoo list because the signal/noise ratio is actually pretty low.
