I'm thinking, if I were to get a tattoo, it would be of 父, meaning "father" in Japanese. And I'm thinking, if I do, I'd want to get it in between my fifth and sixth vertebrae on my back (counting from the top), which, I understand, in back Shiatsu, is just in between stress and tension, and heart and spirit.

my dad left my mom and me when i was a young child, so (in the intoxicated state i was in during this post) i figured the absence of a father in my life might be synthesized with the presence of 父 on my back. and i was actually hoping you'd have some imput like that incase my translation tool on my computer screwed up, haha. i'm not sure if i'll actually get the tattoo though... it's just since all my friends are turning 18 right now, everyone's getting tattoos and i felt left out.
