Mark Does Stuff, NYC

Had a lot of fun at the Mark Does Stuff event, which took place at the Museum of NYC. I was pleased that he hadn't forgotten about The West Wing in the onslaught of Star Trek and Supernatural over the past several months (he even gushed about Donna Moss, which made me immeasurably happy). He read a chapter from his novel, which sounds quite good

Glad you enjoyed it - sounds like a good time!

Not to be too mother-hen-ish but when was your last physical? Have you ever had any issues with asthma? Even if not, the cold probably didn't help.

I haven't checkout Mark Does Stuff in a while. I'll have to go see if anything in my wheel house is on the upcoming agenda.

I've suspected for a while that I have asthma. Unfortunately, going to a doctor is not an option right now.

I think you might like Leverage (if you haven't already seen it), which he's doing right now as a double feature, meaning posts go up every day instead of every *other* day -- the show is kind of Ocean's 11 meets Robin Hood. I really, really like it. After Leverage, he's doing Legend of Korra (he's already seen S1, so he's starting with S2).

Yikes, that sounds frightening - I'm glad you're okay, but I do have to second mrs_bombadil's question about getting a physical. Being short and out of shape myself, I totally sympathize with the perils of prolonged uphill climbs.

That all said, I'm glad you had a good time (although I don't know quite what to say about Garfield and The Royal Family)!

Glad you were ultimately, "ok" but yeah, as soon as you are able to see a doctor, I'd go. It's great that you met up with some nice people afterwards though. Keep that up! :)

Well, the actual meeting up afterward didn't last long thanks to my inability to walk uphill. :P But we did talk a good bit while waiting for Mark to start. It's a shame they were mostly lurkers and newbies so we probably won't interact much online.
