HOLY COW BATMAN CONRAD! HOW DO YOU HAVE TIME FOR ANY FRIENDS?!

It's okay. I'm secretly jealous of you.

By the way, I see that you saw Saved!. What did you think? Was it awful? Does it completely bash and obliterate everything that I believe in as a Christian? Or is it worth driving an hour to see at one of the only theaters in north eastern Colorado that is actually showing it?

No, I have not seen Saved yet. I also have not seen Fierce Creatures. Somehow those to slipped into my SEEN list. The mistake has been FIXXORED. Now as for Saved!, I have heard that it is worth seeing from a couple of (Christian) notable sources. However, if you are extremely fragile and sensitive, you might not like it. I know I'm going to see it myself.

I really really want to see it. I'm so interested. But the nearest theater that is showing it is an hour's drive away. Ugh. You should go see it and tell me what you think and tell me if it's worth the drive and money.

The movie's site says that it's not meant to offend, it's meant to spark discussion and to point out the difficulties that teens face every day. I know kids that go to Christian schools and I know that many/most/all of the issues addressed in the movie are ones they really do face, even in a supposedly Christian environment. They're certainly things kids face in non-Christian schools. I just want to see how they depict this in the movie. It should be interesting.

i saw it last night. although some aspects of the movie were over-exaggerated, i could relate to and have seen a lot of the stuff in the movie happen in real life. i didn't go to a Christian school but my best friend did and i know a lot of similar things happened at his school (people getting pregnant, homosexuality, etc.). the movie was kind of "out there" so i could see why many conservative Christians would get so upset over it but i respect the honesty portrayed in the movie and it was definitely a thought provoking story. overall, it was a good movie.

conrad, you should check out muriel's wedding, once were warriors and swing kids. i think you'd enjoy them.
