Historic Background
The story began with the existence of three robust countries around Deca XI: Valora in the north, Ex Favila in the west, and Verity in the east. All three countries were equivalent in both magnitude and supremacy, therefore providing amity amongst these powerful nations. Peace came with vast prosperity. After years of tranquility, however in Deca XII, Valora’s emperor feigned illness. Upon his deathbed, his last demand was to bring his son up to throne and be its new king.
It was the new Valorian king who had brought forth the concept of greed. Before long, he created an agency that specialized in war tactics - the beginning of the plot to take over Ex Favila and Verity. For years, Valora went through war preparation processes, wherein citizens of the age of thirty and up were drafted in order to form an army, ultimately selecting the healthiest, strongest and most intelligent of men and women. During this conscription, about a sixth of the population was drawn into army camps.
News of this preparation reached the nations of Ex Favila and Verity regardless of how private Valora wanted it to be. To assure victory, Valora planned to launch a surprise attack on its massive counterparts; but with their plot foiled, the Valorian Army had no choice but to prepare for an all-out war against Ex Favila and Verity. Meanwhile, Ex Favila and Verity held a meeting in secret, wherein the leaders of the two empires tried to compromise over the matter of Valora's deception. Their answer was to wage war without a treaty against Valora. Unfortunately, because they could not come to a real solution as to how they would split the Valorian land, the two nations became sour towards one another. All that was accomplished during the rendezvous was towering tension between all countries.
All regions then went through Preparation, drafting an immeasurable amount of people along with it. Midway through Deca XIII, everything finally fell into place, and the three armies clashed together at their borders. Even five generations were not able to end the war - in fact, there were only more feuds, hostility and blood-boiling for revenge; there seemed to be no aim, goal, or future for them. All they wanted was one another’s downfall.
Come Deca XXI - all three armies were exhausted. Their supplies were running low, as well as their morale. Along with those factors was the decreasing size of their armies; soldiers were called in to duty, trained day and night, brought to the battlefield, only to be killed in combat. Another soldier took their place and the process recycled. It was becoming more and more difficult to get people to join their cause, or lack thereof. Ultimately, the population globally reduced to a dangerously low percentage. Acknowledging the risks, the leaders made a silent agreement to stay out of war until further notice. That period of time was considered Birth and Reborn.
