So how dysfunctional is the right that even with a majority in both houses of Congress and a GOP president they couldn't do the one thing they have wanted to do for nearly a decade, A.K.A. repeal Obamacare?

That's because the 'right' isn't in office. The GOP is not a right-wing party. It's a moderate party with right and left wingers in it. People like McCain and McConnell are lefties. Same for Paul Ryan.
The Left still has a majority in Congress.

Fake news is reporting it as a 'crushing defeat'. How many bills that didn't pass under Obama were treated this way? I'd say it was positive, like they refused to pass Ryan's piece of crap.

Hardly a victory for Democrats. Nancy Pelosi belongs in a nursing home, not on Capitol Hill. If it were Hillarycare, she would've passed that to see what's in it as well.

It was exactly 7 years. Obamacare was signed on March 24th, 2010. The scrapped vote to repeal it was on March 24th, 2017. ;)

I don't mind the Democrats and GOP imploding on themselves. There's no new Democratic leadership as they're a bunch of senile geriatrics and Republicans like Ryan and McCain are spineless. Besides, Ryancare had a number of the same provisions like Obamacare such as the individual mandate.
