I think it's time for some good ole rantage.

First of all, take a look at this thread.

Not only is backwardhatclub's response totally heartless (and ultimately the embodiment of what is wrong with zealous capitalist thought), it's worthless.  There is no wisdom to be gained from it--it's just "well you shouldn't have done that."  The statement lacks UTILITY ( Read more... )

Consider all of those Mexican illegals. They always seem to find a job.

In real life, out there, there's always a job. Because there's always something somebody doesn't want to do who is willing to pay for it to be done, always. It may not be an attractive job, but you gotta start somewhere, right?

I find it interesting, along the lines of your third-to-last paragraph, when--in jest, malice, or out of compassion--I make a comment to or about someone which is responded to with a lovely bout of the subject shouting: "You dont know me!" I find that phrase especially interesting when I've said that someone has a short temper.
