Earth Hour

Last year, I thought of Earth Hour as a clever gimmick. I mean, yes, one hour of lower electricity consumption is a good thing but if we really want to save our planet, it takes more than an hour a year. If Vegas does, you should grab the camera and take pictures of the lost tourists!

I can only imagine what a dark Vegas would do to the crime rate on the Strip....

I would think so, so long as it's not plugged in? My brother asked about his game boy when I asked if he wanted to do it. No way would I be able to get Mum to. I'm the one that has to turn the lights off around here all the time.

I think the only requirement is to turn all your lights off. The only reason I considered turning off my computers etc was because I don't actually use lights all that often. So turning our lights off for an hour wouldn't really contribute to the goal of reducing electricity usage in my household.

We have decided to read by battery-powered lantern.
