I know you're not the journal sort, so I'm so glad you decided to make a Livejournal. I've been keeping one for several weeks now, and there's a whole Starfleet group rapidly forming for a community. Even Q has a livejournal. (And he actually isn't as bad as I remember him, and I know you hate the benefit of the doubt, but really...)
Ahem. I'd get indepth about...things, but you could always read the journal (not as good as hearing it from me, but saving time, as currently I have a ton of work to do to fix up after another trip to the Mirror Universe.)

I have some knowledge of what it is to leave behind what you love and join the society you were born to but never raised in. It's very hard, I know. But never doubt that what you are doing is the right thing. Your people were on a path that could lead to nothing but stagnation for them and suffering for all others they encountered. Your work may lead them away from that path and give them the chance, finally, to grow and evolve again.
The Great Link has so much potential. I am glad to see someone working to help them realize it.
