Hee, I love the celebrity magazine hearts :D This day usually passes me by, but this year, for the first time in OMG 28 years, I got a card. And some flowers. Strange times indeed (although I do suspect my daughter had a hand in it all...)
The significance of rubber ducks. Hmm... "Red sky at night, shepherds delight; White ducks on the tree, someone is cackling in glee"?
A tree near my parents mysteriously began to blossom Christmas crackers one year: someone had taken used ones, cut them all in half, threaded string or cotton through each, and suspended them from branches all over the tree. The shiny paper caught the light every day.
After Christmas, they left it all, and it was still twinkling in April.
Valentine's passed here as silently as it always does - though apparently a girl in the lab received a card, and they're checking people's "W"s to find the culprit... I did get a cup of tea from CGND (in exchange for some pics he'd asked for), which is probably even the first time in years I've spoken to a bloke on the 14th! On the bright side, he's convinced that my black coat (with the silver stitching) and black boots with the purple laces make me the perfect first female Doctor Who!
what a superb compliment! one that is truly memorable and meaningful. thanks for the link, what fun. The ducks come to town... Didn't really think they were there for Valentines day but wasn't sure if it was'an installation'. I much prefer the randomness and mystery.

Nothing says 'Spring!' quite like a tree-full of white rubber ducks. Erm... *g*
Happy Valentine's Day! I love any excuse for love ♥
