A Raffles/The Professionals crossover, to be precise, "The Amateur Cracksman" by DVS. This was published in a Pros zine in 1993, and had remained about the only Pros fic by DVS that hadn't gone online - until now ( Read more... )

Hee, I tend to take Raffles as more a vouyer than exhibitionist, but it certainly works for the circumstances.

I'm so glad pretty much everyone agrees they switch on occation. Raffles is too comfortable with himself to NOT want it both ways.

Bats and bowls. Ho ho ho.

Interesting comment, thanks! I thought the best bit of this fic was the insight into Raffles' desire for his talents to be recognised, a desire that can never be satisfied except when he plays cricket.

I was so happy to read this. The story is so well-done. I'm glad you posted it for all of us to enjoy. We can't allow these wonderful stories to be lost or forgotten.
