Love it to pieces. Bunny's voice is PERFECT. Raffles is so much in character that throughout the story I felt I was watching an episode.
Favourite moments: the dancing lesson - the fountain with the naked youth - and Mackenzie (his voice is FANTASTIC, and I totally agree with you, he *knows* about them!) - and the "noises of concern and opprobrium". And the toast. And R's smoothness.
Ooo, so romantic! And Raffles still manages to pull off a heist! Too much squee for one fic to hold! In fact, I was just thinking the other day how to write a story where those two would dance together--and here it is! Yay!
Thank you - I wrote most of this ages ago, but couldn't work out what to do with the diamonds, or indeed how to include a bit of burglary in the proceedings, then the ending came to me all at once. Relief!

I love his little toast to Bunny. And Mackenzie's VERY obvious insinuation about the nature of their relationship.
Cute and fluffy and adorable. ^w^

In my imagination, Mackenzie *knows* and that is part of his determination to bring Raffles into disgrace.

Raffles might be just a little bit sweeter and kinder than he should be, but I'm just a romantic.

I've had a kink for gentlemen in tails dancing together since I saw this in Ken Russell's "Valentino"

when the film first came out, which was around the same time I first saw the "Raffles" TV series too. *g*
