Both Bunny and Raffles are fortunate that Raffles stayed Bunny's hand that fortuitous night. And a very fitting way for them to get back at their old card sharp.

Interesting bit of trivia: the character Tremayne was named after Peter Tremayne, author of The Return of Raffles (1981).

ooh, thanks for the trivia. I was so used to the Tremayne and Carruthers characters from the series that it came as quite a surprise to rediscover that the card sharps never actually appear in "The Ides of March".

Very sexy last lines; thank you for those.

Vengeful Raffles is terrific. Your story fits right along with his code of honor; he's very in character. And Bunny? Well, what does one do with Bunny except love him into oblivion?

Another great. story. :) I like how they get their revenge: it's delightfully subtle and definitely worthy of Raffles at his finest.

Also, I know others have already commented on it, but that's a wonderful last line. *fans self.*

Thanks!
It was going to be something cruder, but I wanted to keep up the lofty moral tone. ahem.
