its SO HARD to be kid-less around parents! the worst? when you give your opinion on something parenting-related and you get that sideways look like "wtf do you know about kids anyway, bitch." a lot, actually. thankyouverymuch.
anyway. i get it. its hard. its like somewhere around 25 theres this shift and two groups are formed: the singles and the couples. and you dont even realize its happening but, boom, all of a sudden your best friend is married with babies and struggling with nap schedules and breastfeeding and youre...dating? worried about how you look sleeping with someone on the first date? still doing the walk of shame? stressing over your dog (bc, lets be real, thats really your most significant relationship right now)?
(whoops, is the dog thing just me? oh well. ha.)
but. this is how life is.
i think you are where youre supposed to be. alaska has been good for you, is good for you. maybe itll feel different this year. maybe youll come back knowing that was your last season. or maybe youll come back
( ... )
I know I always feel like I have to preface any advice I give with, "Well I don't have spawn but… I sure have been around a lot of them.. " but I usually just stay quiet with most of my friends when it comes to their children. Tashia is the only one that admits to being clueless, I feel like she actually takes my opinions like they matter.
There are definitely two different worlds and I'm just working on being in both of them. (I used to worry about my dog but since I've moved I've relinquished that worry to my sister, haha).
Thank you. Embrace. It's a good lifestyle, one I need to re-learn.
