When I was little I'd save up my allowance to buy huge poster maps at the teachers store and I'd sit in my basement and memorize everything. I'd white out states and provinces and fill them in again and watch where in the world is carmen sandiego religiously.

This http://transit.toronto.on.ca/archives/maps/futurettc.jpg is a beautiful map that recently influenced me... it's what the transit system here could be-- if all dreams came true. :)
