What I find amazing is that he's claiming that he's always sold these cookies...that it's only recently that he started calling them "Obama cookies" or whatever.
What a dickhead.
Also, alsoname beat me to it, but my favorite part is the claim that he can't be a racist, because his sister married a Cuban and he didn't prevent it. Which is totally the gold standard of anti-racism.
I've never been to a single bakery in Greenwich Village. I tend to go to bakeries in Brooklyn, or upper Midtown, near where I work. Probably the closest I've been is a Chinatown bakery.
Which is why I'm not proclaiming, "I'll never shop there again!" since I wasn't likely to before, anyway. But I'll remember the name just in case I don't accidentally stumble in there when I'm looking for the Sullivan Street Bakery.
ugh. i just heard about this earlier today. i walk past that bakery all the time, but hadn't ever stopped in. definitely won't now. so gross and baffling.
