I get balance alerts from my brand new bank account, that I just opened up after being in Chexsystems hell for four and a half years(apparently banks have gotten a bit better about reports in Chexsystems, but when I moved to the city I couldn't open an account anywhere because I had an old record with them

i think you'd like west philly. most of my friends there are either way into west philly or way into south--both have their perks, i think i prefer west.

In a surprising twist, I need to go to Philadelphia twice for visits to the Mazzoni Center, to do bloodwork/prep and then the second time to get Testosterone.
Its a 4 hour drive from me, little over four hours actually, each way. I'm in the process of trying to find a hotel.

my building has a one bedroom opening up for $750-800, the entire second floor, bay windows, new carpets and paint.

if west philly, stay between 40th and baltimore/woodland to 50th, no further north than spruce, no farther south than springfield or kingsessing, making sure to see the property at night too as philadelphia is very much block by block.

also, fishtown, northen liberties which is rising in price, and areas of south philly and graduate hospital are cheap.
