I decided not to wait for state residency before signing up to take prerequisite classes. I've applied to the local community college, and will take a 6 hour Saturday Chemistry lecture/lab starting in January. This means I can make an August deadline for the nursing school with one prerequisite that I've been eying, and if I get accepted, start ( Read more... )

thanks for putting me up... I got Totally Wasted at that wedding and it ended up being quite a night... flashback to college in a serious way, who knew... anyway, I still have your keys on my keychain, they feel like the future (and metal).

any word on that job you were looking into at Penn? it sounded way better than dealing the The Bosshole.

I just got word that I finally got the job I was hoping for myself, which is pretty sweet, so to Philadelphia and Beyond!

Congratulations!

I still haven't heard, but I've been having more good days at work, and when I just play along, it tends to be even better, so I think I'll just wait it out if I don't hear back from Penn on this one. I could use a little stability on my resume.

Glad you had fun at the wedding. When are you thinking you'll move down?

probably like Dec. 31st... Curtis is coming into Syracuse for Christmas, and he wants to spend New Years in Philly, so we're probably going to drive my essentials down on like the 31st... I'll let you know when the time gets closer how the plans pan out.

ps. think about what kind of bills/rent situation you all want to work out... we can talk soon on the phone. I'd be happy to pay 1/3 of everything. I'm hopefully going to find out soon what my future roommates' plans are as far as finding an apartment. last I heard it was for March 1st, but not fully confirmed recently.

Hey, so here's the bill breakdown. Rent is $600/mo total, and we pay for water, gas and electric. Water usually is around $30-50/mo (We just had a huge bill but that was because of a leak, which has been fixed), Electric is usually in the $40 range, and gas will rise as we use the heat more so that's a variable. Our last gas bill was $70, and before that it was in the $40 range and the $70 bill was from turning on the heat only a few times, so I imagine it would go up a bit more than that. For food, we'd probably either do our own shopping or figure out what we all eat and then buy part of our groceries together and others separately or something, since Peter and I eat a bit of meat ( ... )

Hey, I'm still around. I don't have internet access at home, and haven't felt comfortable really updating my journal from work. And honestly, I haven't really felt like journalling lately, either.

I'm still working, prerequisites ended up being too expensive without instate tuition so I'm waiting, my fiance got certified as an EMT, we got a car, sometimes I hate my job but am gonna stay here for the stability and the known-ness of it.

Best way to reach me is my email- cat dot allison at gmail dot com.

How are things?
