"You told me, talk to him for you and to not turn him against you, I did neither," Peter remarked, not looking up from the word search as he circled another answer. He'd been here most the evening, waiting for something like this. He knew Sherlock would find him out eventually, especially once John hid the bow like he'd suggested.

Looking up, Peter grabbed his coffee and took a small sip.

"Its not the only thing I told him, so be on alert, I plan to teach him while I'm stuck here. I have a fair bit of time on my hands to annoy you with."

"I did hear that Lestrade is having a hard time." Of course, he assured it, but no one needed to know that. Staring at Peter in a way that he would likely never, never grow out of, Sherlock watched Peter with a not so subtle enjoyment at having the man here.

It had been a long time since he was a seventeen years old child who did not quite understand that people could go and still return again.

"Your wife must be enjoying her time away from you."

"Not really, she wants me to come home. She rang the other night, wished I was there," Peter mused aloud before sinking into his seat, though hopefully that was actually true. They were having a rocky time right now. She'd cheated on him with Holden again, Peter lashed out and slept with about 6 women and they'd been trying to out do each other since.

Yet whenever they were together, it wasn't hard for them to get over these things. To their credit, they had amazing sex and Peter couldn't of been prouder. Which explain his dumb smile right now as he thought back.

Setting his coffee down, he gave Sherlock an amused look. Something was making Sherlock oddly pleased... weird. "Did you get laid last night?"

"Sex is pointless. My body is a vessel for my mind, little else. I don't need to burden myself with complex social interactions as you obviously still do."

Oh, he had experimented after Peter until he was twenty-one and discovered cocaine. There was a few chance encounters in his late twenties for a case he was working on for Lestrade but after that?

No, he hadn't had sex in almost five years.

Jim had to smirk, he really did. Sherlock was his soulmate, he knew that. They were meant to be, the ones who knew each other and would probably kill each other, Course, he'd kill Sherlock first!

"I'm not surprised somehow."

Whipping out his phone, Jim casually flipped through his draft box before sending along to Sherlocks mobile a text he'd been saving for-- well, this moment really. It wasn't anything special, just an address.

"They live in a pretty nice place, I hear her ex husband was a rich man. Very jealous of your playmate as well. Stole his wife, his home and ruined his business. What a naughty boy, your Carlisle is. I wander if I'll ever get a letter about him."

Jim wouldn't be able to resist fixing him.

Sherlock had his dander up. Peter was not for fixing. John was not for fixing. Mycroft...perhaps. Though Sherlock would never. As much as they feuded, he needed his brother.

"He's irrevocably broken. Don't waste your time on him."

Sherlock could already guess what's on the mobile and therefore, he didn't bother to check it. Jim had stolen his heart yet again.

"There'd be nothing much to fix just the same."

Oh yes. Sherlock was having deep, emotional attachments without realizing he even could.

"So I hear, I always like to know my targets. Manic depressive, failed suicide attempt and a public one as well, several acts of violence against police property and a string of lovers and one divorce under his hat. Oh yes, he also had a dog with an interesting name, its rather familar, I'm sure you've heard it before."

Jim always did his research and he knew this man well, any potential target got a quick look over. To Jim, it was a hobby. He loved studying peoples downfalls and errors. He never knew when he'd need to exploit them.

"Is it wrong than the idea of a mess up individual just turns me on."

Giving Sherlock a suggestive wink, Jim moved closer and growled softly in Sherlocks ear, just having a bit of fun with the man. Sex was a tool at best, he didn't get this whole 'love and connection' rubbish.

"Course no one is as messed up as you and me, Sherlock. And don't you just love it?"

Suicide attempt. Sherlock hadn't seen it, though his deductions always had one or two aspects that were wrong or overlooked. He saw the depression, Peter wreaked of it, but to take it that far?

Jim's indepth understanding of him made Sherlock a little jealous, though he'd never term it as such. He tilted back his head carefully and pondered that for a moment.

As the other man leaned in, so did Sherlock so that Jim didn't have to stand on his toes. He didn't touch him, he didn't need to. Sex for Sherlock was relatively boring and a very unsatisfying high. Peter was as addicted as the rest of them all, though his drug of choice never lingered. It's why he had so many lovers.

"I find it interesting, though I don't share your views. I'm not 'messed up.' I'm just a higher evolution of people. Anyone could be what I am, but they're too connected to their bodies and not their brains."
