Do it. To it.

If you're on Twitter, set your location to Tehran & your time zone to GMT +3.30. Iranian security forces are hunting for bloggers using location/timezone searches. The more people at this location, the more of a logjam it creates for forces trying to shut down Iranians' access to the internet. Cut & paste & pass it on.

Where did you get this information?

And wouldn't the security forces simply see your IP address was outside Iran and ignore you?

I'm not sure I'm buying this.

This is a cross-post of my Facebook status update, and yeah,I was thinking the same thing. I'd assume if the security forces had any level of competency they'd just do IP address searches instead of a location/timezone search.

In the end I figured it was easy enough to so I did it, and posted it up. However, following that, one of my friends did provide me with a link that is probably much more effective: http://iproxyiran.tk/

And he also recently tagged me in this note: http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=114647563956
