Backstory: I bought an '97 Camry from a friend earlier this year. Because both she and previous owner are known to be meticulous, I skipped getting the car inspected before purchase. when you have an older car there comes a point when you have to decide if you are going to keep driving the car, which means biting the bullet and doing some significant repairs along the way, but knowing that you won't have to do those again, or do you start the cycle anew and get another car and a payment and all that crap.
sometimes the devil you know is better than the one you don't :)
