Mmmm craft talk. ITA about the iron transfers (altho I plan on trying some per your suggestion for a 'soft collage'). The screen print sounds mucho better and supa fun too.
I can't wait to see what you come up with. I think that the transfer paper has lots of possibilities, just not for this particular idea of mine. besides, as I am absolutely sure you can appreciate, screen printing means new toys! (plus, heh, I'm already thinking waaaay ahead of myself about how if this all works out, then maybe I'll want to start custom dyeing the shirts before I print & glitter them...)
just yesterday afternoon i was wishing that i could indulge my litte munchkin's glitter fetish with a piece of clothing that did not include a barbie, hello kitty or ariel face or logo. you are on to something baby!
yay for feeling inspired and new crafting supplies!
yes, exactly! this whole idea got going when I was looking at this v cute onesie a friend embroidered for miss baby (a little beet with "sugar beet" underneath, so sweet) & thinking that I wished that I could get my hands on some funky non-commercial glittery stuff for her.
& then that immediately turned into trying to figure out how I could use my hands to make the glittery stuff...
Don't mind me, I am still waiting for peace cards!
Not like you are busy or something. Maybe your prototype could be a big ol' glittery cool t-shirt for me? Hahahahah. But really, I would buy my daughters some hipster glitter T's.
pfft. you say that as if I haven't promised to make them for you already. this is all behind-the-scenes talk, you know, I'm not actually doing any work yet.
actually, I expect that I'll know in the reasonably near future whether this is going to work out or not. & I am quite sure that I'll be talking endlessly about it here!
