[homura fails to notice her communicator falling out of her pocket, the impact being enough to turn on the device. she's outdoors, sitting on the ground, her legs are brought up and her arms are crossed over on top of her knees

[ Well, Kyouko has a vague idea. So when she's walking outside with a bag of apples (she completely stocked up on those in Hyrule along with the food Homura brought along) and spots Homura like that, she frowns to herself just a moment.

After that brief moment, though, she walks up to the girl. Her frown is replaced with more of her usual expression - although it might be more serious than teasing this time. ]

... Hey.

[ She gets an apple out of the bag, holding it out to the other girl. ]

Want one?

[homura shifts her gaze elsewhere, noticing kyouko's arrival. knowing her, she must already realize what homura's been occupying her thoughts with.

she ponders the offer for a moment, until finally reaching for the apple and taking it.]

Thank you.

[she stares at the apple momentarily before taking a bit off of it]

What has brought you here?

I was just wandering around for a bit.

[ She flops on the ground as well, a little distance from Homura, and gets an apple out to start eating some as well. ]

Couldn't help but notice ya sitting here. [ She doesn't say anything else, not yet. ]

I had little to busy myself with and decided to spend some time away from the village itself.

This seemed like a suitable enough location.

[of course. that's all there is to it.]

[ Guilford can spot brooding a mile away.

--only not really. He was just on his way back along the shoreline, his croft the intended destination. That idea stopped when he caught sight of the small silhouette against the line of the docks.

He pauses some distance behind her, unsure if he should actually disturb the child or simply move on.

For now, he's content with sharing the view, eyes fixed on the water. ]

[even after his arrival, homura's gaze remains as distant as before. she waits for a while, glancing at him momentarily.]

Is there something you want?

[ His hands are clasped behind his back, posture straight, and he does not move when she speaks. His reply is honest, with no edge to it. ] No.

[ After a silent moment he decides to justify his presence. ] It is unwise for denizens to be away from the village, alone.

You needn't be concerned over my well-being.

[distracted and out of her element? yes. vulnerable? not by a long shot.]

And weren't you also by yourself before arrival here?

[ Madoka knew Homura well enough to know what she was feeling, even though she tried to hide it well. Wearing her poofy Puella Magi outfit as always, she smiles while walking up to her. ]

Homura-chan.

[she turns to look at her almost immediately, taking in the sight of her uniform.]

Madoka. Is there something wrong?

[ action ]

No, [she shakes her head immediately] but are you alright?

[ action ]

I'll be fine. [a quick nod] I was just looking to spend some time by myself.

[ At first, Rock hadn't really noticed the communicator turn on. He was partially distracted, sitting on his bed in the inn while going over his equipment and making sure everything was in working order. Not that he even had the tools to fix anything should anything be broken, but it was still good to know.

Once he noticed Homura on the screen though, he couldn't help but stop for a second, staring at the feed for a bit... before finally speaking up. ]

... You look lonely.
